Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 May 2026
By using Voltline you agree to these terms. Please read them, especially the section on engineering use and liability.
The service
Voltline provides free, browser-based engineering tools. The service is provided on an as is and as available basis. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time.
Engineering use and your responsibility
Voltline is intended to assist with engineering analysis only. It is not a substitute for professional engineering judgment. All results must be reviewed and verified by a qualified engineer before they are used for any design, installation, safety or other safety-critical decision. You remain solely responsible for how you use any result produced by the tools.
No warranty
While we aim for accuracy, we make no warranty that the tools, calculations or content are correct, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose. Standards referenced by the tools (such as IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E) remain the property of their respective organisations, and you are responsible for working from the official, current editions where required.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Voltline and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site or its results. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including attempting to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access, or place an unreasonable load on it through automated means.
Third-party services
The optional written interpretation feature relies on a third-party AI provider (Anthropic). Your use of that feature is also subject to that provider processing the data sent to it, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The Voltline name, logo and site content are owned by Voltline unless stated otherwise. You may use the tools for their intended purpose but may not copy or redistribute the site as your own.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Dutch courts.
